Ascent of mainland Spain’s highest peak using basic mountaineering techniques. You’ll get great views of the dramatic north face of the Sierra Nevada mountain range and the Mediterranean Sea, weather permitting. This activity is suitable for anyone who loves mountain sports and is in good physical shape.

Day 1
We drive to the village of Capileira, from where we walk up to the Refugio Poqueira, a staffed lodge where we spend the night.
Day 2
We ascend the summit from the west or south, depending on the weather and snow conditions, before descending to our vehicle and returning to Granada.
